Mayor Bloomberg’s study might affect the waterfront homes but not 10 Sheldrake Lane!

aerial Photo 10 Sheldrake LaneMayor Bloomberg ordered a new study on storms and heat waves citing  “a grim scenario of more heat waves, more rain and wind and more coastal flooding that will affect increasing numbers of people. A panel of climate change experts compiled the study.”

My thoughts turned to “Four Chimneys” when I read this article. Located  overlooking a lake, there are no tidal surges, and the storms are never as harsh on the lake as found on the waterfront. What is “Four Chimneys?” A beautiful home, approximately 8966 square feet and featuring 7 bedrooms, and 5 .2 baths.

Located in New Rochelle just 30 minutes to NYC, this McKim, Mead and White  waterfront merits its lofty pedigree. Sited behind gates on a cul-de-sac. 1.79 acre w/ peaceful views of Sheldrake Lake. Exquisite architectural detail blends w/ up-to-the-minute amenities. Re-purposed for the active, modern family, recreational opportunities abound. Massive gym, indoor half basketball court, putting green and sport court. Amazing infinity pool blends seamlessly with the lake. A unique, timeless compound. Being offered at $5.4 Million.   http://www.planomatic.com/mls12619.

Sheldrake Lake was once a Reservoir, and the water level is actually lowered during the winter months also!  A sublime, serene and tranquil place in which to live.

New Rochelle is GREAT!
