I had written a blog post the other year on Ancestry.com. Little did I know that when I was researching my new (and wonderful) listing located at 61 Bayeau Road, I would come across a little snippet of information from the 1940 U.S. Census. Yes, mom. Many of our homes did once have maids (sigh!).
