I recently attended a charity event for the YAI (Young Adult Institute) in Tarrytown. There was a silent auction, great food, and it was a fantastic evening! I bid on a few things, and actually won a few. Yay! One of the items was a Gift Certificate to the Brazen Fox in White Plains. I was able to go yesterday evening and enjoy some wonderful food! I had just left a closing in White Plains and so the timing was perfect!
The Brazen Fox always donates to the YAI each year, and so it made my visit there even more pleasurable, and I will definitely be returning. The atmosphere was festive, the bar was full, people were happy, and the restaurant looked great!
Wednesday is Ladies night which was a propos, and we started the evening with fried pickles and an artichoke and spinach dip. Both looked great and tasted fantastic! My friend likes sweet drinks , and so chose a Mango Martini followed with a ‘Moonstruck Martini!” I am a Brit and chose beer!
My friend, Bonnie chose the salmon which was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus, while I chose the Rack of Lamb which was served with perfectly cooked asparagus and mashed potatoes. Our dinner was complete with the Bread pudding served with vanilla ice cream..
It was a wonderful way in which to start the Holidays, and it was all the more enjoyable being with a special friend, and knowing that the restaurant in which we dined was so charitable to the YAI!
The Brazen Fox is located at 175 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains 10601 914 358-5911.
