Each year, Maureen King – the Manager of Weichert Realtors has a “Summer Kick -off and barbecue event with the proceeds going towards one of her favorite charities – “The American Cancer Society.” So much effort went into the event which was held on June 26th, that I had to post a few words to both thank Maureen, Matt, and their dedicated helpers who must have spent the entire day setting up or this lovely evening and event. Gift baskets galore, wonderful raffles to many local restaurants who willingly donated their wares to aid in the event.
Maureen had prepared pulled pork, baked beans, and there were hot dogs, fried chicken, salads, watermelon and an ice cream truck too! The entire evening was a wonderful festive event, and it was so nice to network with fellow real estate agents and friends. Judging on the number of people present, and the brisk sale of raffle tickets, I think we can call it a great success.
I also won a raffle which was sort of nice too! A picnic basket!
