Where in Westchester was Matt this month?
It all began with one brilliant vision by New Rochelle resident Joe Napolitano in 2008. The heralded doors to Posto 22 were unveiled to instant rave reviews. Soon, this unique gem of an eatery was the instant choice of discerning New ‘Rochellians’ and foodies from all over the area who rely on Posto 22 for one-of-a-kind, sensational Italian cuisine and more. All this under one welcoming roof and ambiance. Now, some 12 years since Posto 22 was christened, the food is still exceptional and hearty. The fabled New Rochelle restaurant has an extensive menu perfect for families and kids. They feature delicious dishes such as cheese tortellini, tomato bisque, gourmet style pizzas which are out of this world, broccoli rabe, my favorite chicken Francese, lobster ravioli, rigatoni, fettuccine Bolognese, burrata, fried calamari and many more Posto 22 stand out dishes you will love!
You will feel as if you are dining in Manhattan without the New York City costs. Posto 22 is very affordable and their extensive, classy bar is perfect to meet a friend for a wonderful cocktail while you watch one of their several TV monitors. Their abundant wine lists are impressive and wide-ranging. The local favorite of many prominent New Rochelle political types and noteworthy business people, Posto 22 has contributed to The city’s food scene in a well deserved major fashion. I wholeheartedly recommend Joe Napolitano’s remarkable, stunning Division Street dining experience right in the heart of downtown. Rated glowingly by The New York Times and Zagat, make your reservation now at 914 235 2464 or just come right in. You can order online and they feature catering. Posto 22 is conveniently located at 22 Division Street, near The New Rochelle Library and the train station. For more than a great decade, New Rochelle’s legendary Posto 22 has been at the forefront of the restaurant establishment. Here’s to 100 more years!
Affluent, quaint New York suburb, Larchmont, has always been a desired zip code for discerning individuals and families to reside and shop. For decades, this preeminent, upscale community, some of it featuring beautiful waterfront properties and stately estates, has been home to well-known wall street, media, television, and political types, including Joan Rivers, Douglas Fairbanks, former US Secretary of Treasury Timothy Geitner and Academy Award winning actress, Mary Pickford, and more. The charming village also is a great place to raise a family as its schools are renowned for academic excellence, and Larchmont has lots to offer. Its restaurants are abundant and satisfying, with varied fares offered at each. One such eatery that I have become quite fond of is Madison Kitchen, located near the interstate 95 entrance and not far from the heart of town. Family-run by great restaurateurs, husband and wife Arianny and Jay with sister Nicole, her husband Sebastian and brother-in-law Jamie. Since 2002, with its sophisticated, modern appeal, Madison Kitchen has been a local favorite for years now, with their eclectic and wide-ranging menu that includes four cheese ravioli, chicken marsala, lump crab cakes, chicken satay, grilled octopus, torched salmon, mk wings, grilled hanger steak, truffle gnocchi and cheese, and any one of their fresh salads.
Madison Kitchen opened to remarkable reviews in The New York Times, Westchester Magazine and more. This gem of a restaurant also serves a hearty brunch and features a comprehensive wine list. They are also known for their delicious desserts that include apple pie, brownies ala mode, Italian camp fire milk shake, sorbets and ice cream. At Madison Kitchen, you’ll find a wide range of wonderful fare in a welcoming and modern decor. They’re open Monday- Friday beginning at 5pm. Saturday brunch at 11am and dinner served from 5pm on. Larchmont is known for alot of sensational things, and Madison Kitchen is one of them.
Visit them today at 7 Madison Street down the road from the Larchmont train station. Call 914 732 3024! Madison Kitchen, known for flawless cuisine, a standout wine list in a cozy ambiance you will love.
UNDERHILLS CROSSING – Elegant, World-Class Dining In Charming Bronxville!
It was another magical evening in the care and keeping of maestro Steven Palm as Clare and I always come home to Bronxville’s highly renowned Underhills Crossing. The week previous we feted my 52nd Birthday, and recently the incomparable eatery played host to us again. Die hard, loyal patrons of Underhills Crossing know all to well of its state-of-the-art fare, always at the forefront of dining. You don’t have to go to Manhattan to find world-class, gourmet food.
Underhills Crossing has been in its convenient location on Pondfield Road serving premier dishes that will leave you coming back for more. My favorites, the able to be defined only in it’s own terms filet mignon and signature Underhills cheeseburger with all the accompaniments are simply the rage. Other tantalizing prime dishes include cavatelli, foisgras, pine island oysters, Maine lobster, steak tartare, fruits de mer, lamb, ravioli, rock shrimp and many others that will delight. Underhills Crossing is special; proprietor Steven Palm and his very welcoming, attentive staff treat you like a VIP and they always give first-class attention to you. It’s no secret why so many discerning Westchester family’s and captains of industry make Underhills Crossing their first dining experience. The Zagat Restaurant Guide loves and raves about the upscale food and you will too. This important venue has received so many wonderful accolades in the press. But don’t take my word for it, make your next elegant dining affair at Mr. Palm’s spectacular Underhills Crossing. 74 Pondfield Road, Bronxville. 914 337 1200.
