April 16th was THE day! The New Rochelle Historical Society worked hard to produce the Thomas Paine Museum and Cottage Colonial Fair, and the hard work truly paid off! There were soldiers teaching the youngsters how to march (” Turn right, your other right!…”) , how to cook, how the blacksmiths worked so hard over the bellows and hot coals, how to play with the hobby horses, how to make candles…. a great learning experience for all who attended. Of course, there were some yummy foods to buy also such as hot dogs and hamburgers!
New Rochelle is GREAT!
