11 Amazing Health Benefits of Figs – Healthy Focus
Figs, also known as anjeer, are so good for because they are loaded with healthy nutrients. They are a good source of vitamins including vitamins A, B1 and B2 as well as minerals like manganese, potassium, iron, calcium and phosphorus. And let us not forget they are a great source of fiber and we all know how important that is for our health.
They are good for your heart, constipation (lack thereof!), cancer prevention, healthy bones, diabetics, blood pressure, eyes and sexual dysfunction (oh my!).
To be quite honest with you, other than knowing they are healthy for you, I neve realized all of the other benefits BUT I am so glad I finally have my own tree!
My dear friend, Robert Kraft, shared his crop with me this year but he is now selling his home, and so I am so glad I now have one myself. I had planted two trees previously but they all died. This is my third and I am ecstatic that I am finally seeing some baby figs!
New Rochelle is great!
