Houlihan Lawrence is one of the sponsors yet again for the upcoming RE Barcamp on Monday, January 9th. I have only attended two camps to-date, but learned so much (if only I had implemented everything!). It is a great time to network, to learn to meet the people with whom we correspond daily, and it is basically a day to rejuvenate our skills, spark our interest, and I am greatly looking forward to it.
It is is described as an ‘unconference’ a place to go in casual attire if desired, to be relaxed, open to new ideas and to share those ideas should we feel the urge. It is stressed that no-one should be selling their wares, their company, themselves – and this makes for a very relaxed atmsphere. They state “Preach passion not product.”
I always think it great that so many are willing to share their ‘secrets to success’ with others, and it has always been very rewarding! I am disappointed that Debbie Gartner won’t be there- she is lovely – but Phil (Faranda) is always organizing something at these events so it will be nice to see him. Looking forward to sharing some pics and gossip next week.
