I had written about the New Rochelle Library Foundation’s CelebriTea past events in my blog of May 26th, 2010 and mentioned this event, but I am now pleased to announce that the CelebriTea is finally here – this coming Sunday at 3:30 p.m. The event is to help fund new carpeting, and the newly refurbished lobby. As I had written back in May, highly renowned and respected authors sit on a stage to discuss their books, and there is a general discussion, a Q and A session chaired by Nicholas Lemann who is the Dean of the Columbia School of Journalism.
The authors will be New York Times editor, Joseph Berger (“The World in a City: Traveling the Globe Through the Neighborhoods of the New New York”), Jonathan Tropper “Everything Changes:a Novel”,”How to talk to a Widower:A Novel (Bantam Discover)”, and “This is Where I Leave You” ( about to be a motion picture). There will also be another special guest – Arlen Gargagliano – author of “Calypso Coolers:Recipes for 50 Caribbean Cocktails and 20 Tropical Treats.”
Tickets are $85 each (with premium tickets for $125 and VIP tickets with reserved seating $250) are available by either calling the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation office at 813-3726 or emailing NRPLF@yahoo.com.
A wonderful event – be there!
