I have to admit that I entered spontaneously never thinking I would be accepted for the competition and yet I was! Oh my! Utter surprise truthfully. Why did I enter? I saw the $25,000 prize money and thought (dreamed) that I could benefit our local Westchester Humane Society which is a no kill shelter. I adopted my pooch from there 16 years ago and while he has passed away, I still miss him so. My entire family does! I even wrote a book about him entitled “It’s Okay to Walk in the Rain” which centered how Binky hated to walk in the rain but with love and patience he slowly learned it was okay to take that first step – a metaphor for children on how to overcome small anxieties.
I actually made the first cut on the 15th !!!! which is exciting and fun, and thought I would share !
Questions asked of me –
Who would you like to interview if given the choice?
Elon Musk of course! A flying car? Wow! But realistically, I would like to interview the local Director of the Humane Society and to ask about the challenges they meet on a daily basis, and also the local Boys and Girls Club – a much needed and great organization. I even taught cooking their for 2 years on a seasonal basis!
What’s your favorite part of hosting?
I have a good sense of humor, and it is always interesting to chat with different people, from all walks of life! I have varied interests which I think could interact with the podcasts. What unique perspective would you bring to your own iHeartRadio podcast?
While we are all uniquely different, I personally am interested in K Dramas, K pop, Cooking, Writing, have been involved over the years in many charities on a hands on basis, my 3 sons were learning disabled and I always emphasized their self esteem through sports. They all excelled ! One son was a 3 time Olympian in the sport of luge, became a commercial pilot but sadly died from cancer. He was the most humble, intelligent person but so full of humor. I would bring that humor to my podcast! What would you do with $25,000?
Oh my! Our dog, Binky, had adopted us from the local animal shelter. I would donate the $25000 to that same shelter which is a no- kill shelter. Westchester Humane Society!
