When searching for that different kind of restaurant in Mamaroneck, The Nemea Greek Taverna must be on the list. It opened in June 2011, and it is one of the “in” restaurants to visit. I have been trying to work my way down the menu, and must admit that, so far, all is delish! The Tzatziki (Greek Yogurt, garlic, cucumber, dill) is tangy and nice by itself or with bread as an appetizer, or when it accompanies the huge lunch time sandwich or gyro – be it chicken or lamb.
I haven’t tried the beet salad yet, but it looks great. How can you turn down the grilled whole Branzino fish sautéed with lemon and dill, and served with sautéed spinach and rice pilaf? My husband loves the braised lamb shank served with garlic potato.
