As I drove by a nursery the other day, I had to take a quick photo.. the sun was shining, the pumpkins were in great abundance.. but with only a few more days left before Halloween… people better to buy these multi-purpose gourd like squashes. From the Cucurbitaceae family, it commonly refers to cultivars
of any of the species. They could be the Cucurbiuta pepo, Cucurbita maxima, Cucurbita mixta or the Cucurbita moschata variety… We all know they are native to North America, and we also all know that when they are toasted or roasted with a little salt and oil, they are delish!
