Back in 2009, I had written a blog post about Beth Weingast who was the then President of the American Appraisers Association. As a current Board Member, I was thrilled to notice her name mentioned in an article today in the HuffPost World regarding Mr. Edwards, who had found some ancient coins in his field in Wales last year. Beth, who is a well known numismatist was asked to comment by “Yahoo! Shine who reached out to currency appraiser Beth Weingast, a certified member of the Appraiser’s Association of America, who said the find is “extraordinarily rare.” The 14 mediaeval coins date back to the 14th and 15th centuries. Mr. Edwards had dropped his keys in error in the field, and called in the local Wrexham Heritage Society to help find them – which they did and so much more! Ms. Weingast has been a long time resident of New Rochelle, and can be contacted at BGWfineart@aol.com.
