Ms. Ivy Reeves was the Master of Ceremonies, and the following awards were given to:
The event was a great success, and was held at Juliano’s on Main Street, New Rochelle. SO impressive was the voice of Ms. Delonna Jones. Her voice was simply beautiful. She sang (along with the audience) “Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing” also known as the “Negro National Anthem”.
The Remington Women’s Auxiliary began in 1938 and was originally known as the Calendar Club. The Calendar Club was started to raise funds for the local Community Boy’s Club in the home of Mrs. Ida Cue, the first President.
