Comedy Night benefitting the Center for Continuing Education was held on April 28th at Decadent Al’s in Mamaroneck. We had missed this fun event because of Covid so it was a much awaited event and a wonderful opportunity to go out with friends and associates to just relax.
I had never frequented Decadent Al’s which is located in a warehouse type setting, with bench style seating and so many vats of beer in the rear! Food is served there and a light repast was served that evening, sliders, quesadillas, chicken tenders and nachos. Of course, we were not there to dine but rather to raise money for the Center for Continuing education.
Ron Nobles, Mamaroneck High School teacher by day was the host for the evening! There were raffle sales and by all appearance it was fun evening for all.
Mamaroneck is GREAT!
Since I will be entering a new property this week in the area, I reached out to a friend and wonderful person, Margaret Chadwick, the President of the New Rochelle Heights Home Owners Association. I wanted to check the yearly dues which are mandatory and are still only $100!

I also wanted to ask what does a home owner receive for the membership? There will be the Spring Gala on April 1st, a virtual wine tasting event on April 9th, 5-7 p.m. “Taste the Goodness” via Zoom! The virtual experience will be led by Deborah Rust, Senior Wine Consultant at Vintage Wine Estates. On July 31st. the Annual General Meeting, and on September 11th, the Fall Conference. Don’t forget the wonderful red clay tennis courts too! Membership is approximately $300 a year! Wow!
The Historic Rochelle Heights is so close to the vibrant downtown, just 30 minutes from New York City and the neighbors are simply grand!
New Rochelle is GREAT!
