‘Carolyn Fugere is a whirlwind of activity, intelligence and energy. Am I sugar coating it ? Hardly! Since she attained the position of Manager at the Larchmont Julia B. Fee Sotheby‘s office, she settled in to do what she does best. Namely, make a difference in all fields. Always active within the community, Carolyn became the new President of the Larchmont Chamber of Commerce. Carolyn wanted the community to know that she was there to make a difference, and not only because that is representative of the Sotheby’s name, but simply because that epitomizes her. Being the President of the Larchmont Chamber of Commerce involves organizing and creating events and topics for meetings every month, and she is also very hands on with regards to those events. One such event that she has currently poured her heart and soul into, is the “A Taste of Larchmont” benefitting “My Sister’s Place.”
What is the “A Taste of Larchmont? For just $50 a ticket, you can “sip, snack and stroll” (or pop onto the trolley provided, as you visit a variety of restaurants and partake in some of their delicious specialites or imbibe in a little aperitif. As you enter each location, there will be a gift basket and silent auction, and all proceeds will be going to “My Sisters Place“. “My Sister’s Place” is a non-profit organization serving victims of domestic violence and humant trafficking.” Sherwoods, Coriander Modern Indian, Encore Bistro, Anna Maria’s Restaurant, Polpettina, Apiary, Auray Gourmet, Post Wine & Spirits have all graciously offered their establishments for this worthy and wonderful event. The gift baskets are sounding great too, and to think that as you enjoy a few short hours with your friends and/or loved ones, just KNOW that all of the proceeds will be going to a worthy cause. Some of the silent auction items include items from the Addison Street Spa, Beauty Bar, Burn, D’s Barbershop, A Dance Studio, Diva’s, Ellen Marie Day Spa, Lusardi’s, Vintage 1891 and more!.
Tickets are available on-line, and at the Sotheby’s Larchmont office the day before and the day of the event (May 1st and May 2nd). A week of summer fun from the Creative Corner of Larchmont is one of the silent auction items , and summer is not only the only season represented! You can even place a bid on a Gingerbread house or an ‘Olde English Caroliers” display (personalized of course) for the 2015 Holidays! The Larchmont Sotheby’s agents and the Larchmont Chamber of Commerce Board Members have all worked hard together to bring forth this event. I bought my tickets. Have you? We all hope to see you on May 2nd!
“A Taste of Larchmont“, Saturday May 2nd 3-5:30 p.m.
