Larchmont Woods has always been a very desirable area, and is the area located between New Rochelle and Larchmont and features properties in both Larchmont and New Rochelle. The homes can present a 10538 zip code but be in New Rochelle, and some homes can have a 10804 zip code but having a sliver of land in Larchmont can be eligible for Larchmont schools.
The George M. Davis Elementary School is the designated school for those New Rochelle homes, and traditionally homes have always cost a little more because of the desirability of the area. Why? Well, Larchmont Village is close by and easily accessed, and so it is quite easy for home owners to pop into Larchmont village and enjoy the various restaurants there such as Lusardi’s, Chat 19, Larchmont Tavern, Encore French Bistro, and Madison Kitchen as examples.
Larchmont Woods is also very near to the vibrant and dynamic downtown New Rochelle where there is so much new construction happening to better our great city. The New Rochelle train station is also the only city in Westchester with Amtrak trains going to Boston and Washington, D.C.
There are some great restaurants in New Rochelle also such as Coramandel Indian Cuisine, Dubrovnik Restaurant, Modern Restaurant, Alvin & Friends and Hurley’s Steakhouse.
It is unusual to find a home with acreage in Larchmont Woods, and so to find such a home on the market is truly special! One Beechtree Drive is located in a quite cul de sac, and offers 1.11 acres of lush private land and great tranquility. Walking distance to downtown Larchmont and a simply breathtaking home.
Something for everyone!
Westchester is GREAT!
