Chili and Meatball cook-off to benefit RPAC! Wine, beer and refreshments as well as a vast array of appetizers and nibbles were on hand for all.
Well, it was a fun evening and someone had to win, and someone had to lose! I lost! Ha! imade chili and decided at the last minute (don’t ask me why) to make it Southern style and shredded the Angus beef. So, it didn’t appear the way you usually see chili.
Contestants brought either the meatballs or the chili, and there were 4 brave judges to taste everything!
Danny Hemchand from HomeTeam Inspection Service ( https://www.hometeam.com 914 344-5413) ) won the Chili contest, and Raymon d LaFlamme from U.S. Bank, 79 E. Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, Ct. (203 258-4615 – firstname.lastname@example.org) won the meatball contest!
There is always next year!
Greg Herb, NAR REALTOR Party Community Outreach Liaison was the special guest and speaker, and he mentioned that $800,000 had been raised thus far this year with approximately $200,000 having been raised by HGAR! As an example a to where the money goes, the 1031 Exchange was going to be eliminated but thanks to the lobbying of RPAC, it is still available.
the REALTORS® Political Action Committee(link is external) (RPAC) has promoted the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is clear: voluntary contributions made by REALTORS® are used to help elect candidates who understand and support their interests. These are not members’ dues; this is money given freely by REALTORS® in recognition of the importance of the political process. The REALTORS® Political Action Committee and other political fundraising are the keys to protecting and promoting the real estate industry.
Westchester is GREAT!
